The Ellen Reavis Walk for Autism is a Charity event to benefit the New Mexico Autism Society.

Event Information

Friday, April 1st

12 pm-6pm Packet Pick Up-Riverpoint Sports and Wellness 9190 Coors Blvd-(Coors and Paseo del Norte)

You will receive your shirt size that you suggested on your registration form, an event schedule and parking map, and bracelet, for those who registered for the 5k, Kids K and Star Walk. All other participants will receive an event schedule, map and bracelet. All participants must have a bracelet to enter!

Registration-There will also be the opportunity to register for the walk at packet-pick up.

TEAMS (IMPORTANT)-If you are picking up for your entire team please let your other team members know.

Saturday, April 2nd-Balloon Fiesta Park

We highly encourage everyone to pick up on Friday to avoid long lines at the event. Walk Day Packet Pickup: Walk Shirts and bracelets may be picked up the morning of the event starting at 10:15, if not picked up on Friday.

Walk Day Registration: If you have not had the opportunity to register, you may do so. Same Day Registration will open at 10:15 am and close at 11:00am. *Please note price increase and no guaranteed t-shirt. Walk Day Parking:  Please follow designated parking signs as you enter off of Balloon Fiesta Parkway. Volunteers will guide you to reserved lot for our event.  Weather: Event will take place rain or shine. No refunds or transfers Event director reserves the right to alter posted routes for safety considerations due to rain or other factors.

Information about the 5K. A 5k is a 3.1 mile route that will take you around balloon fiesta park, this is a non timed event. The 1.5 mile walk will start 20 minutes after the 5k. Please keep to the right and follow signs. Sturdy strollers are allowed, but bicycles, skateboards, scooters or roller skates are NOT allowed for safety reasons. Children must be supervised at all times by an attentive adult. **ALL walkers and runners in each walk must be registered to participate except children under age 5 who will be pushed in a sturdy stroller by a registered adult in the 5K or 1.5mile walk.

Team Captain:  If you wish to participate in the team t-shirt contest, please bring an extra medium “team shirt” to display. All t-shirts must be received by 10:30 on walk day. Please turn them into the event registration table.

ALL PARTICPANTS can Stop and cast your votes for your favorite “Team T-Shirt.” Look for the VOTE HERE SIGN.

Resource and vendors will also be following the Star Wars theme on their table, you can also cast your vote for your favorite! Look for the VOTE HERE sign.

***THERE ARE NO DOGS ALLOWED*** This excludes service animals. *NO GLASS BOTTLES

**Food Trucks will be on site, live band, jump houses, Face Painting, Imagination Playground, Ninja Park, KnockerBall , live performances and so much more! Brotherhood Motorcycle Run for Autism will arrive at approximately 11:25.

10:15-Gates Open

11:15-Opening Ceremonies

11:30- 5k Run

11:50-1.5 mile walk

1:00 pm – Kids k-This fun run is specifically designed for kids. The event is not timed. Parents or caregivers who need to walk with a participant do not need to register. Only registered participants will receive an event shirt and finishers will receive the official custom event medal.

1:30 pm-Star Walk-Any individual with autism and their caretaker

1:45-Awards 1st, 2nd 3rd overall male and female 5k. 1st, 2nd, 3rd largest family, corporate and school/university team. Top 5 Fundraisers, Best T-shirt, and Best Vendor/Resource Table.
